Today I Start My Blog/Journey.

Hi!  I am Annette and I am starting this blog as journal and open forum for myself and for anyone who would love to chime in.  

Let me tell you all a little bit about me.  I am a forced to retire, living on social security disability person who is trying to reinvent myself in a new and more positive way.

Three and a half years ago, a tumor was found inside my spinal cord.  Yes I did say, "INSIDE MY SPINAL CORD!"  It was called a CERVICAL SPINE INTRAMEDULLARY EPENDYMOMA.  A big medical term for a tumor inside my spinal cord in my neck!  It was at C6, C7 and T1 The C stands for cervical (neck), T stands for the thoracic (upper back) and L stands for lumbar (lower back) area of the spine and etc. All the vertebrae in the spinal column are numbered.  See The Spine for all the wonderful information you can put in your brain on this.  

It had been there living inside my spinal cord for a long, long time undetected other that the pain, muscle atrophy and havoc it was raising on unknowing me.

NOTE:  I am new to this "blogging thing" so please be patient with me as I attempt to figure this out and to hone my writing skills.  :)
